RISING PRIMER SUGGESTED READING OPTIONS
These books are meant to be read together or on your own! They rhyme, have repetitive language, and encourage rereading. The biggest take away is time spent with a book.
RISING 1ST GRADE SUGGESTED READING OPTIONS
These books are meant to be read on your own and together! They rhyme, have repetitive language, can be decoded, and encourage rereading. Good readers read books everyday, reread favorite titles, and share with friends!
RISING 2ND GRADE REQUIRED READING OPTIONS
Select a book that interests you, read over the summer and be ready to discuss the first week of school. Read at least ONE book from this section.
RISING 2ND GRADE SUGGESTED READING OPTIONS
Suggested readings are books that we know SECOND GRADERS LOVE! Read as many as you like...start a book club, keep a journal about what you’re reading, send your ESD librarians a postcard about a favorite book, and let them know what books should be included. This list is just a suggestion!
