BOOK ORDER FAQs

  • Interabang Books is currently operating online only, and our staff is working remotely. Our customers’ online orders are being fulfilled for us by a book distributor with multiple warehouses around the country. Orders are shipped from the warehouses via the US Postal Service directly to Interabang customers. If a book has already been published and is in stock, it should arrive at its destination in 3-5 business days if sent with economy shipping. 
  • SHIPPING OPTIONS: Economy shipping is now free until further notice. When you place your order, select economy shipping from the options at checkout. (There is no need for the coupon code previously shared.) Accelerated shipping options may be available ath checkout, too.
  • GIFT ORDERS: If you are purchasing a book to be mailed as a gift, we urge you to verify the recipient’s current address and be certain of the ability to receive packages there. (With office closures, this is an issue now.) We are not able to make changes to a shipping address once an order is in process. We do offer online gift certificates for friends and family you’d like to let make their own reading selections; we send the e-gift certificates by email.
  • ORDER COMMENTS: As you place your order, please leave the comment field blank unless absolutely necessary. Any comments will delay processing your order. Sorry, but we are not able to accommodate special requests at this time (gift wrap, personal notes, delivery instructions, shipping notifications, etc.).   • ORDER QUESTIONS: If you have questions about an order in process, we encourage you to reply to the order confirmation email you received after placing your order. (That address says DO-NOT-REPLY, but any reply will, in fact, go to the order administrator’s box.) 
  • PARTIAL ORDERS: Orders with multiple items may arrive in more than one shipment because multiple items are not always packaged from the same facility. Delivery of multiple items may also be spaced out over several days. This may seem inefficient, but because your books may not all be at the same warehouse, it’s the best way to process orders without delay.
  • PRE-ORDERS: We strongly recommend that you place pre-orders (for books with a future release date) separately from any orders for titles that are already available. This will prevent any delays in processing books that are available now and ready to ship, or confusion with an order status since the distributor does not tag orders as partially complete.
  • STORE ACCESS: For the time being we do not have access to the inventory on our store shelves to fulfill orders, or to provide any kind of pickup option, including curbside pickup. (We regret this, too, and are sorry for any frustration it causes.
