Jen Betton is a former art professor. Her book Hedgehog Needs a Hug won Pennsylvania’s Keystone to Reading Award, and was a finalist for Mississippi’s Magnolia Awarda. Twilight Chant was a National Council of Teachers of English Notable Book. She is the winner of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) national mentorship award, and the portfolio grand prize of New England's SCBWI. She's placed and been an Honorable Mention at the Children's Market in the Society of Illustrators, Los Angeles. She lives in Dallas.
