Meet Richard

We make sense of the world through narrative. Whatever happens to us—whether the event is joyous, trivial, or tragic—we deliver the message as a story. I try to follow Faulkner’s advice and read widely. Reading broadens my world. It activates my inner life, makes me better at explaining my experiences to others, and, more importantly, makes me a better witness when others explain their experiences to me.
