MEET NANCY

I have always been a book lover, thanks to my wise and wonderful mother, Margot. She instilled in me a deep love of reading, and I, in turn, consider some of my sweetest memories to be of reading with my four (now grown) sons. It brings me deep pleasure to see what serious readers they each have become.

If you are a book lover, nothing compares to the excitement and anticipation of walking into a really wonderful bookstore. We think bookstores are more important than ever, and independent bookstores are definitely making a comeback. Every great city needs great bookstore. In the words of Pat Conroy, “A city without a bookstore is like a river without a current.” My interest in opening a bookstore in Dallas is as much about enriching the community and supporting literacy efforts as it is about leading customers to books.
