Meet Lori

As soon as I learned how to read, Saturday afternoons became my favorite time of the week because that’s when Mom and I would visit our community library in rural Pennsylvania. Taking home a big stack of books felt so good, so full of potential and excitement. Being around books still makes me feel that way. My favorite reads are fat, chewy, literary novels with well-developed characters. Some of the ones that I most love are the old classics: ABSALOM, ABSALOM!, CRIME AND PUNISHMENT, MIDDLEMARCH, BUDDENBROOKS, and THE PORTRAIT OF A LADY, to name a few. But perhaps most thrilling is when I fall hard for a contemporary novel, as I did with THUS BAD BEGINS, THE BORDER OF PARADISE, CHRONICLE OF THE MURDERED HOUSE, and THE ESSEX SERPENT.
